MICHELLE WELLMAN

Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist

Dr Michelle Wellman is an experienced gynaecologist and fertility specialist who has been caring for women in Adelaide for more than two decades. A graduate of the University of Adelaide Medical School, she completed specialist training in Adelaide, Melbourne and the United Kingdom before establishing private practice in 2005.

Michelle has a strong interest in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, complemented by extensive experience in vaginal and abdominal surgical techniques. She is committed to offering evidence-based, contemporary surgical options that minimise recovery time and support women in returning to their daily lives as quickly as possible.

With a long background in fertility care and assisted reproductive technologies, Michelle understands the emotional and physical journey of trying to conceive. She provides fertility treatment at Genea Fertility SA, working closely with individuals and couples to create personalised plans that feel supportive, transparent and realistic.

Passionate about women’s health across the lifespan, Dr Wellman’s practice focuses on reducing the impact of gynaecological conditions on wellbeing, function and quality of life. She is an active member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and the Fertility Society of Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ), and she regularly participates in continuing professional development to ensure her practice reflects the latest evidence and advances in the field.
