TIFFANY HAMILTON (BROOKS)

Clinical and Health Psychologist and Senior Lecturer

Tiffany is a Clinical and Health Psychologist who works clinically at Aware. In terms of training, she has completed a Master of Psychology (Health), endorsement in health psychology, equivalency in clinical psychology and a PhD. She is a fellow of the Australian Psychological Society College of Health Psychologists and fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency. She has completed her supervisor training and is available to supervise psychology placement students, clinical and health endorsement pathways.

Tiffany utilizes the following therapeutic approaches in sessions: cognitive processing therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy and schema therapy. She also utilizes clinical hypnotherapy, relaxation techniques and somatic work. Presentations that she commonly sees include people with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and chronic pain conditions including persistent pelvic pain.

Tiffany is a senior lecturer working with years 4 to 6 students at the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences medical school. Her research interests relate to the overlap between cognitive and physical components of chronic pain conditions in females. She has lived experience with chronic pain and provides services as a consumer advocate for research projects.
